Dressing for the in-between seasons of Autumn and Spring can be really tricky…
The weather is not cold enough for winter woolies, but not warm enough for summery dresses.
So, what to wear in this in-between season?
The best bet is to opt for versatile items that you can layer as the weather gets warmer, and then cooler, during the day.
I recently popped into Poetry to look for the ideal dress to aid your Winter to Summer style transition and found the Tercia Printed Shift Dress.
This is a slightly longer length dress than the others but that’s what makes it great for the changeable weather.
The dress has a bold print in navy, coral and white, long sleeves and a round-shaped neckline with a keyhole inset at the chest that can be done up or left undone.
The style is fitted under the bust and then flares out which is quite fun. Again this dress is super versatile and can be paired with a pair of opaque navy stockings, ankle boots and a leather tote or worn as is with a pair of navy pumps or sandals as the weather warms up.
It’s an easy wearing dress as it’s made of Viscose so there’s not need to spend hours ironing and it’s the type of outfit that you can wear to the office or at the weekend.
I wore a pair of statement earrings with this dress to add to the fun. The Epoxy and Tassel Statement Drop Earrings (R250) are deep blue and feature geometric studs and chic tassel accents, right on trend for the season!
