WIN: Perfume worth R1000 from My Perfume Shop

A spritz of perfume is the last thing I do every morning, just before I step out the front door…

I love selecting the scent that speaks to me the most each day, the one that matches my mood, the one that will follow me through the day reminding me of all things lovely and bringing a smile to my face.

A new perfume has power: Immediate power to lift your mood, inspire your thoughts and boost your confidence, but a scent also has a lingering power that can even last a lifetime….

Catch a whiff of the perfume your mother or grandmother used to wear and it will take you back to your childhood immediately. Spritz the scent you wore on your wedding day and your memories will spring to life. Find a forgotten fragrance sample in your toiletry bag from your last holiday and step back onto the beach or into the bush…

Perfumes have the power to transport us back in time, to help us remember days gone by, people we loved and places we traveled to. This is because the part of our brain that processes our sense of smell is so closely linked to the part of our brain that stores our memories, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love knowing that each perfume in my collection has a story, a memory, a time and place in my life.

And I love adding to my collection, especially when there is a special occasion or trip that I want to remember. I’ve been known to select a new scent when one of these life events or seasons happens just so that I have a smell to associate with it.

But perfumes don’t come cheap, do they!? And they shouldn’t, these are not just bottles of scented water. They are works of art that have been developed over years by experts who combine the most precious of ingredients in beautiful bottles for us to treasure….

Fortunately My Perfume Shop is an online store holding the largest stock of French and rare International perfumes in South Africa, including many lines that have been discontinued in retailers. They are also the only perfume retailer in SA that sells testers and one of the few that stock miniatures.

What’s more is that their prices can be up to 40% below retail cost! For example a 75ml EDP bottle of Loverdose by Diesel sells for cheaper than the 30ml (of a similar product) on another online store and a 100ml bottle of Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs retails in stores at R1615 and their tester of the same size is only R950!

They are also the stockists of exclusive fragrance brands such as Dyptique, Creed, Penhaligons, L’Artisans, Amouage and Serge Lutens

The lovely people over at My Perfume Shop have partnered with Becoming you to offer 1 lucky reader the chance to win a perfume of their choice valued at up to R1000!
