WIN: Delicious SOULFOOD for your skin!

One of my absolute favourite things is aromatherapy. I first discovered this beautiful concept way back in 1999 when I met a girl (now one of my closest friends) who was studying to become an aromatherapist and I somehow had the extreme good fortune to become one of her case studies – yes, that meant FREE massages!

Besides falling in love with my (now) husband at the time and making a life-long friend during the process… I also fell in love with essential oils and the incredible way they made my body and mind feel.

I love bring aspects of aromatherapy into my everyday life and so when I recently came across a brand new range of body products offering aromatherapy benefits I knew I needed to try them!

SOULFOOD is a range of essential oil enriched body cremes that offer targeted skin care benefits that uplift, hydrate, stimulate or inspire.

The range of 5 different body lotions has been created with all-natural ingredients including supercharged plant extract properties.

A natural, energising aromatherapy crème that nourishes skin and uplifts mind, body and soul. Enhanced with energising properties of Ginger, Coriander, Black Pepper, Bay Laurel and Copaiba balsam.

A deeply soothing crème to comfort tired muscles. Enhanced with the reviving properties of Katafray, Arnica, Thyme, Exotic Verbena and Clove

A relaxing crème to nourish skin and soothe emotions. Enhanced with the calming properties of Jasmine, Neroli, Hemp, Cedarwood and Geranium.

Obviously all of these sound delicious! My faves? Read on below…

Well, I was drawn to the Inner-Peace instantly as I have been feeling rather overwhelmed with the start of the new school year (Hello High School 2.0) I’m a HUGE fan of Neroli and Jasmine and Geranium are also right near the top of my list of faves. The jasmine is the prominent fragrance in this creme so it is definitely suited to someone who enjoys florals. That being said even my husband enjoyed this one when he came home from work feeling rather stressed and opted to use it on his ! This lotion promises to bring a “relaxing respite” to the day’s challenges and I loved lathering on this lotion to my body just before bed and breathing in it’s sweet scent.

My ultimate though is the Quench. After a bit too much fun in the sun, sea and air-con (?) my skin has been feeling particularly dry. Now I’m not the best at applying body lotion everyday… I know it would make a difference, I just don’t get around to it! That is going to change with the arrival of this decadent daily indulgence! My skin soaked up this cream quickly and my skin feels super nourished! Quench also contains Neroli (hooray!) as well as notes of Rosehip, Frankincense and Palmarosa. I recently discovered that Frankincense is known as the “king of oils” due to the fact that it has soothing and beautifying properties which rejuvenate skin and reduce the appearance of imperfections. Sounds like a winner to me! The scent of this creme is subtle and woody – making it ideal for unisex use.
