Why it’s so hard to make mom friends

I remember when I was pregnant with my first child I was excited at the prospect of not only meeting my baby but also the opportunity to expand my circle of friends by befriending other moms with kids of a similar age who came across our paths.

However, a few years later, while I have made some of my best friends during this time, I have also discovered the competitive world of mothering….

and I can tell you that all this video sums up nicely the daily conversations among moms everywhere….

Have you come across this blonde mom in the video? Or are you that mom?? I am probably a bit of both…. but now I’m going to be much more aware of every piece of “advice” (or “assvice” as per Tertia) that leaves my mouth! What have you found the hardest conversation among moms. The one that makes me want to run for the hills screaming is “What school is little Johnny going to? Have you applied to X private school yet? I applied when little Johnny was still a fetus…”

She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
