What’s for supper?

Isn’t that the question that strikes terror in the heart of every mother everywhere… or is that just me???? I love being creative and trying new things EXCEPT when it comes to cooking. I am not altogether hopeless. I can follow a recipe and not burn stuff but it really is something I find limited enjoyment in. If truth be told it stresses me out and ultimately all the cooking is done by my very domesticated husband. Lucky me 🙂 Anyway even though he does the actual cooking I have to remind him that he does, in fact, not do all that is required to prepare a meal so I must garner some of the credit. I do all the planning and shopping which in my mind constitutes the hard work! OK so what is the point of this ramble you may ask? To introduce to you my very simple menu plan for the week. Basically I have allocated a type of meal (the main ingredient) for each day so that come Tuesday I know that it is X day. To take it one step further I might plan an entire menu plan for the week and then rotate that week once a month but that is for another day!

So here is my supper plan for the week to get you started. Obviously flexibility is allowed should you have leftovers etc:

Mon: Veg (Meat free Mondays and all that)
Tues: Chicken
Wed: Red Meat (mostly Mince)
Thurs: Pasta
Fri: Fish
Sat: Pizza or Eat Out or Takeaways
Sun: Roast or Braai (Barbecue)
