What I… Zaahirah from Complete [and Utter] Disbelief

So it’s Wednesday and that can only mean one thing: time for another What I blogger interview! YAY! This week I’m sharing my online space with Zaahirah – a Joburg based lifestyle blogger who covers topics such as beauty, fashion, product reviews and life! She says she started out knowing nothing about these topics and has slowly learnt something new everyday which she now shares with her readers.

I love that concept because I feel the exact same way about my blog. It really has taught me so much and opened up the world to me in a new way and I love learning something new everyday too!

Zaahirah blogs over at Complete [and utter] Disbelief and is also actively involved in the new Lady Bloggers workshops. Read on to find out more about her:

What I…

That I’ve got a lot of time to do what I need in life. I might just need to slow down a little and take a break. I doubt I ever will though. I also know that I should be so grateful for the opportunities I’ve gotten so far and that I’m part of a lucky few who generate content that people want to read.

Blogging. I have been doing it for nearly 10 years now and can’t imagine my life without some sort of blog. I am also an avid photographer and take a few photos on a nearly daily basis. After that, I love being with my closest, nothing compares to a simple meal and laughing at stupid tv shows. I also love Michael Fassbender.

Random Modern Classics. I’m currently obsessed with Haruki Murakami. I spent a lot of time reading fantasy like Sergei Lukyanenko and Trudi Canavan. I’m also a sucker for sad stories and can’t resist a good cry. I love reading Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice over, and over again.

To travel. I’ve only been overseas once and can’t accept that this could be my only reality. I feel like I’m part of an international world, but hate that I have hardly experienced it.

I actually try really hard to be stylish, but I am really small built and can barely find shoes and clothing that fit me (that I like). I can wear size 2 shoes, so heel shopping for me is a nightmare. I mostly just dress for comfort though. You don’t find me wearing tons of accessories, I like to keep is simple and clean.

Kathryn Rossiter

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
