What I… Tracy Dawson from Liam & Cole

Recently I finally met the lovely Tracy from Liam & Cole IRL. I didn’t get nearly enough time to chat and find out more about her as we were both quite caught up with managing our kids at an event, so I popped her an email and asked if she’d like to feature here… I’m glad she said YES, because now you can all find out more about her and her blog too!

Tracy, is a South African mommy blogger. Born in Durban she is mom to two boys, Liam and Cole (hence the name of her blog – Liam and Cole!)

What I…

Know – What I know is that there is more than enough time to get everything I need to get done for each day. We often compare our lives to those of others and believe that they were able to accomplish A, B and C simply because they have more time. No, time is not a measurement and no one is given more time than the other. It’s all about how I manage my time. Time is expensive, and every second should be spent wisely. Invest a little time planning and you will see the rewards. Stop wasting your time on procrastinating. It’s like throwing your time away.

Love – My family. I’m a family person and very protective of my family. I love that I have my husband, my children, my siblings, my parents and my and nieces and nephews. It gives me a sense of belonging, and this is so important to me. Even though my siblings live far away from us, I know they are there. Even if its a phone call or message away. I couldn’t imagine not having my family in my life.

Read – I love reading the bible. It is such a unique book and its advice is timeless. It is the most refreshing read you will ever have. I read quite a few blogs. I specifically enjoy following other women’s journeys through motherhood and parenting.

Want – I’d love to visit my brothers and their families in New Zealand for a month. I haven’t seen them in such a long time and I it saddens me that our kids are growing up without each other. I also badly want to go on a major clothing shopping spree and buy all the clothing my heart desires. What I also want very badly is to redecorate my home.

Wear – My mood generally sets the pace. There are days where I’ll go all out to make sure I’m dressed well. Heels, pretty top/dress, or a stunning jeans/pants and makeup on point. Then there are days where I just could not be bothered with even putting a drop of makeup on, let alone a pair of heels. So no, I’m not consistent in how I dress, but I am consistent in choosing my clothing. I have a weakness for pretty and unusual clothing and always prefer not having the same clothing as everyone else.

Need – I need a break. A real break. A break that doesn’t involve me cooking, or cleaning, or working of any kind. I need to really unwind. The stress of this year has taken its toll on me and I’ve been feeling the effects on my body. Right now, I need a holiday away that includes massages, swimming, hiking and just all round relaxation.

Thanks so much Tracy for sharing more of her story on my blog! Lovely to meet you

Kathryn Rossiter

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
