This week I’m sharing my space with Shelley, who writes over at All Things Pretty. Originally a wedding themed blog, she now covers other topics such as food and travel…
A cat mom of 5 who is passionate about photography, tattoo’s, chocolate and peanut butter, you want to find out more, so read on!
I now know how important happiness is…happiness in life, yourself, love & work. Being happy makes you appreciate life so much more. Granted, not the same things make everyone happy but it’s important to find what makes you happy. Also be open minds as the things that make you happy now, might not make you happy later in life. We are always changing & growing…so it is also important to be self-aware.
I have to start with that I love my husband (just incase he reads this…hehe). Though on a serious note, I am very fortunate to have a loving & supportive husband, Garith, would go to the ends of the earth for me and for that, I am so grateful and couldn’t imagine sharing my life with anyone else.
Now onto my love of cats…I have 6 that I love and adore (most of the time)…a Kit Kat, Archimedes, Socrates, Tigger, Asterix & Channing…yes I am one of those crazy cat people, and just can’t say no to a cat that needs a home.
I also love the bush, I try and spend as many holiday’s as possible game viewing and spending time in the bush. However, let me just say, I am not a camper…I require 4 walls and a bed when I go to the bush. I just really enjoy spending time photographing our beautiful wildlife.
I spend a lot of time reading photography online magazines, blogs and webpages. As I am not only a blogger but also a full time lifestyle photographer. So I need to keep up-to-date with what is happening and also helps me grow as an artist.
Now onto what I read for pleasure! I do not spend as much time reading novels as I really should. However, when I do read it is either Patricia Cornwell, who I have loved since I was a teenager and I have read almost all her books. I just love a good crime drama. Then on the other scale, I also really enjoy a good light-hearted chick lit book, I am currently reading a series called : When Girlfriends… by Savannah Page. It’s funny, light and entertaining, which is what I need sometimes.
There are so many things that I want to achieve in my life…but I will narrow it down to my top one. I want to visit as many different countries as I can and experience their food & culture. I have been very fortunate so far, as my husband also enjoys to travel…and in July, we are on our way to Cyprus for 2 weeks! However, I think my heart is calling for a USA trip, I need to go to New Orleans, to experience southern cooking before I die!
If I could live in my pyjamas, I totally would but for some reason people frown upon you wearing them all the time…hehe!
As I have got older, I have found I am all about my comfort. And, I don’t mean I look sloppy, I just don’t wear heels (although I have a cupboard full of them). If you see me outside of my house, I am normally in a pretty dress and flat sandals or boots, depending on the weather. I haven’t worn jeans in over a year…just an FYI.
A strange fact about me, I hardly ever wear make-up, even if I am going out. I have nothing against make-up and wish I was one of those girls that could put it on flawlessly…I just don’t feel the need to wear it all the time.
More time & organisation…I am a very active & passionate person with lots of interests. I love to get involved in different projects. I am the kind of person who will come up with an idea but not necessarily see it through right to the end…An example is that I started a photo blog, so I could share all the photos I have taken that were not for clients but rather personal projects. Well don’t ask how that is going, as I have only posted about 10 photos in 5 months. Yes, I am that girl, so if you want to start something, call me, however, you might need to finish it!
