What I… Natasha from The Makeup Mistress

This week I’m interviewing Natasha – a makeup artist who has a beauty blog called Makeup Mistress. She features product reviews and hair and makeup inspiration as well as her own work over on her blog. Find out more about her here…

I know:
That I am always stronger than I think. And that there are too many shades of everything in this world for there ever to be a ‘right’ one.

I need:
Forgiveness, understanding, acceptance, camaraderie, empathy, courage, support and love: to see it when I get it, and be thankful when I see it; and mostly, I need to know when to give it…and be thankful for that moment.

I want:
To spend a week with Rae Morris; and to possess all her makeup brushes!

I love:
Getting paid to play with makeup; getting hugs to play with Lego; getting approving “yums” when my Spaghetti Bolognese comes out of a sachet from Spar (easy peasy), and everyone thinks it’s all me 😉 …and sunshine. I love sunshine in people and places, and also in myself.

I read:
Julia Donaldson and J.K.Rowling; and when the babes finally nod off, then out come my South African Elle, Marie Claire and True Love magazines (these I buy and recycle – but only once they are very well read; I also save cuttings for my mood boards, and inspiration books); and absolutely any beauty bible or book about hairdressing, makeup and styling that I can find at my local library! My favourite at the moment is Rae Morris’s “Beautiful Eyes”. Haven’t got my Kindle yet, but will soon! And I should probably admit that I am addicted to reading blogs. I often just blog-hop from one to another link that I find on whichever blog I’m reading: kind of like being guided by blog destiny, which often yields much inspiration.

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
