What I…

I know that becoming a mom has changed me for the better and with all the challenges it only makes me more focused and determined to succeed.

I know that looking at your baby for the first time and the amazing feeling of unconditional love is a gift from God and I feel truly blessed to have two beautiful boys and an amazing, loving husband dedicated to his family.

I know that motherhood has taught me to live one day at a time, live each day to its fullest and trust God for the rest.

I know that God has given us different gifts and that we all have a purpose and a great future and that we are equipped no matter what our situation, to achieve our dreams.

I love the sound of my boys laughing and the sound of them playing silly games with their daddy. I love listening to all the funny things they say and the cute way my little boy says cucumber and lawn mower and I love looking at them when they are peacefully asleep.

I love family time at home, family time out, I love the beach and building sandcastles with my boys and eating ice cream on a hot summers day.

I love being a tourist in my own city, discovering new places and travelling to different countries. I love photographing everything about Cape Town and capturing beautiful memories of my boys.

Most of all I love God, my family and my beautiful city Cape Town.

I love reading although I do not have as much time for this as I would like. I am currently, trying, to read the Five Love Languages for Children. So far it is a great book.

An exotic holiday, to lie in a hammock on a tropical island and read, to travel the world … and to inspire people to explore my beautiful city, have fun and enjoy family outings.

I want all children in the world to have the opportunity to have an education and I want to make a difference in our poorer communities.

I want to be a good mother and wife, and teach my boys to be loving, respectful and confident.

I love casual and comfy which is what you will find me in most of the time as I am a stay at home mom and I love wearing my Haviannas all summer long.

I love the look of pretty dresses and heels but it doesn’t quite work keeping up with two busy young boys.

To eat healthy and exercise, spend time with my boys, have fun, explore my city and be organised ALL.THE.TIME… and of course good wine and Lindt chocolate.

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
