What I… Laura from Whimsy is Forever

Today I’m sharing my space with a blogger I’ve recently discovered, Laura from Whimsy is Forever. She is currently a PhD Chemistry student at Stellenbosch University by day and by night she shares snippets of her life via her blog. Thanks for taking part Laura!

What I…

Deciding to pursue postgraduate research was the best decision I could have made.
Learning to dress for your body, not fashion, will make your personal style infinitely better.
Blogging is hard work but can be very rewarding.
Time management is the single greatest skill you can ever imagine.
If you want something done properly, do it yourself.
It is better to have tried and failed than to always wonder “what if?”
Being normal is the most boring and overrated notion.

I love lazy days in the winelands with my friends. I love that first cup of coffee in the morning. I love finding that amazing item… in my size… on sale. I love turning the music up and dancing like no-one’s watching. I love making up stories. I love good wine, and great cheese. I love beautiful things. I love that my job involves making molecules and materials that no-one has ever made before. I love going on culinary adventures. I love painting my nails and playing around with makeup.

I have to read so much heavy scientific writing for my work, so when I get home by brain is usually too wiped out to read. But when I get the time, I love to read fantasy fiction. I am currently working my way through the final instalment of my favourite series – The Wheel of Time.

To get more research done.
To set aside more time for blogging.
To have more hours in a day.

This autumn I love wearing: maxi skirts, skinny jeans, ankle boots, jewel tones, chambray shirts, cute scarfs, knitted berets, plaid, houndstooth, bold lipstick, neutral eyes and glowing skin.

Get more sleep
Stress less
Go on holiday

Kathryn Rossiter

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
