What I… KaRi and ElmaRi from Lovilee

Lovilee is a collaborative project between sisters KaRi & ElmaRi, they aim to provide brides, brides-to-be, mommies, mommies-to-be and aspiring home decorators with ideas and inspiration and introduce them to worth-while vendors. They both recently became mommies, KaRi for the first time, and ElmaRi for the second time. Here they share their answers to my “What I…” questions.

Know…
That Narnia exists…

Love…
My hubby and newborn baby boy. There is nothing better than sharing your life with someone that supports, inspires and manages to still love me with all my moods as my hubby does. This new mom jobspec is also one that has proved harder, but more rewarding than I could ever imagine. A sleepless night is forgotten with a smile from my little Prince Charming.

Read…
Anything by Francine Rivers is a sure winner for me. Atonement Child being my favourite with The Scarlett Thread a close second. I have never bought a magazine in my life, but spend quite some time reading other blogs and articles on-line and more recently… #tweets!

Want…
More time in a day to find and profile more lovilee people and places on the blog. I feel alive when I get my creative juices flowing!

Wear…
Hmm, a difficult one. I really do not have a specific style. I like denims, t’s and cardigans, have a cardigan in almost 10 different colours. I recently took a bold step and bought myself a red skinny in celebration of returning to my pre-pregnancy size! My pair of Levi “Wimpy tackies” are my all-time favourites.

Need…
I seriously need some skills in gardening and landscaping. I love being outside spending time in my garden, but have managed killing more plants than actually growing them. Who knew that it could be so hard?!

Know…
The only constant in life is change. Live every day to the full!

Love…
My precious family and our newly bought house that we are turning into our home. Cool evenings to cuddle and a fireplace – staring at the flames and listening to the crackling sounds. Ooh, and baking, I just LoVe baking – especially in my bigger kitchen! And friends – they make life wortwhile.

Read…
My all time favorite being ” A season of leaves” by Catherine Law. Any good book that is not too soppy or predictable and is set in the 1800’s. I find the 1800’s very charming and sometimes imagine how it would’ve been like living back then. I also enjoy books by Francine Rivers, especially the two part series, “Her Mother’s Hope” and “Her Daughter’s dream”. I do read magazines, especially ones on babies and toddlers at the moment…

Want…
Badly…..a Kitchen Aid Mixer, a light blue one….soon!!! A good night’s sleep would be nice too.

Wear…
I do not follow trends, but like looking neat by wearing fitted clothing. Currently I love my jeans – I own quite a few pairs…just because they are so comfortable, especially when running after a toddler and trying to keep baby happy too. I do like black, white and grey and flat shoes – the last time I wore heals were on my wedding day almost 8 years ago. I just do not do heals – I’m sure I’ll topple over if I try!

Need…
Time management skills – too much nice things to do! Spending time on our blog, visiting markets and searching for new exciting items, suppliers and advice to share with our readers. Then there are my hobbies too – I recently attended a quilting course and cannot wait to get back into some sewing.

Thanks so much KaRi and ElmaRi for sharing your “Lovilee” answers with us today!

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
