Today I’m featuring fitness blogger, Jane from G.I.Jane
Jane is an inspiration! A lifelong lover of sport and fitness, Jane takes every opportunity to get active – on the hockey field, at the beach, in a gala or at the gym.
After spending many years as a personal trainer in a big gym chain, Jane took a massive leap of faith when she decided to open her very own private (ladies only) studio in Durban in 2012.
The idea was inspired by the realisation that, for many women, a return to the gym after the arrival of a new baby is one fraught with self conscious feelings.
Jane loves helping women get back to their comfortable place, to fall in love with their bodies again, and see the joy in their faces when they could lift more, run further and stand taller.
To expand on to her brand she has recently launched an awesome 8 week online course called Unselfishly Me that is about motivating, uplifting and inspiring women to become more positive about their bodies and embrace self-love.

Know: is that wellness and mindfulness is needed in this world full of stress and anxiety. Being a personal trainer, of course I believe in wellness, but I believe in a much more holistic aspect of it. Toning, yoga, meditation, walking and working on yourself as a human too!
Love: Being able to help and guide women to finding their true selves, on the inside and outside.
Read: I’m obsessed with all things Jennifer Weiner, Lauren Weisberger, Cecelia Ahern and JoJo Moyes. I also currently have a spiritual stack of Gabrielle Bernstein, Sheryl Sandberg, Arianna Huffington and Brene Brown.
Want: is for more women to love themselves. I’ve seen how majority of us speak so badly TO ourselves and about ourselves and it makes me so sad. I saw it in myself and started steps to stop it, and it’s helped so much. I’m so passionate about it that I have developed an 8 week e-course on learning to love yourself, called Unselfishly Me. It has brought me so much joy seeing these amazing women on a journey of self love and self discovery. More self love is the way of the future!
Wear: Well I’m in leggings 6 days a week basically! If I’m not personal training or off to yoga, I’m instructing Secret Sunrise on a weekend and that’s usually leggings but with a tutu or something quirky over.
Need: I’m pretty chilled and don’t need much. Family, my two Boston Terriers and a good book! WiFi and Netflix would help too 😉
