This week I am interviewing Hasmita from Jozilicious. Hasmita works at a multinational mining company and believes that money is so much better spent on experiences, rather than things. She loves travel, food, beauty, fashion and parties! Read on to find out more…
Nothing is forever, even friendship and love. Growing up and growing apart is normal and healthy.
If you want something, all you have to do is put it out there and take the first steps towards your goal. Once you do this, the opportunities will come.
Sometimes mothers do know best.
My husband, my family and my friends. They all add so much to my life and I wouldn’t be half of who I am without them.
I also adore my 2 cats, Lola and Leo.
Food – more specifically desserts, I have such a sweet tooth! Cheesecake and anything chocolate are my weaknesses.
Bed. And sleep. I am a very grumpy person if I haven’t had my 8 hours.
Planning events. High teas, birthday parties, bachelorettes, basically anything that involves event coordination – bringing people together is one of my passions
Travelling. This is my favourite pastime, and what I spend all my money on!
Sunsets. I am that crazy person with my hand out the window trying to take a photo while sitting in 6pm traffic.
The beach. Even though I grew up in PE, my appreciation for the beach only started once I moved to JHB. Now whenever I’m anywhere close to the ocean, a walk on the beach is the first thing on my to do list!
I’ve just finished the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy and have been suffering serious withdrawal symptoms since! I’m currently reading The Help. Other favourites include Tuesdays with Morrie, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Shantaram and The Night Circus
I don’t want anything material (anymore at least!)- I’ve just been on a fabulous holiday to NYC, which was at the top of my bucket list. I also recently bought an Ipad 3, which is something I’ve wanted since the Ipad 1 came out!. I guess what I want now is to find my “calling” in life. With my blog growing, it is taking up more and more of my time and this makes balancing blogging and working increasingly difficult.
I also want to get to my “happy” weight. I just have a few more kgs to go, but refer to what I “love” and you’ll understand my challenges ☺
To have babies! Not anytime soon though, but someday ☺
To pursue my photography hobby and start taking some really beautiful photos that I can use on my blog. I’ve got an amazing Nikon camera, but I am still using it in auto mode! I definitely enjoy taking photos though, so hope to improve on this in the short term. I am particularly proud of this one, taken at the Test Kitchen in Cape Town
At work you’ll probably find me in a pencil dress/skirt and heels- this outfit works best for my body. I adore wearing peplum, it is so flattering. On weekends I’m in leggings/ skinny jeans and pumps.
To feel fulfilled. I’m always trying to do “more”, at work, at home, on my blog, but I’m never satisfied!
I need to travel. I always try to have *something* planned for me to look forward to. Travelling feeds my soul and I really believe it adds to one’s life experience in so many ways. My next trip is to Zambia, I cannot wait!
