This week I’m interviewing Chandre Jones, a food blogger who writes over at Fooding It.
She loves all things food and is an amateur chef who loves to bake, cook, eat and travel.
Read on to find out more about Chandre…
What I Know:
“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us” (anonymous). I am grateful to have had a few opportunities to travel abroad and to experience what different cultures are all about. Travelling gives my life a sense of purpose, humbles me and just puts what’s important into perspective. I only have one chance to live the best possible life I can live and I plan to fulfil my dreams.
What I Love:
I have a complete obsession with all things food. Whether it’s cooking up a storm for friends, baking my favourite cakes, eating out, trying a new product or indulging in the local cuisine abroad. I’m game.
My husband. I am so fortunate to have married my best friend, travel partner and the person who makes my heart skip a beat. He supports my ideas, goes out of his way to spoil me and his eagerness to be more than ordinary inspires me daily.
My fur babies. I currently have 2 Chihuahuas and a Rottweiler that bring constant joy into my life. There is no better “pick me up” after a long day in the office and coming home to their warm welcome.
What I read:
I don’t spend as much time reading as I would like to but when I do its most likely a Maeve Binchy Novel.
I am to no surprise addicted to cookbooks. I often go to the nearest charity shop and pile in as many recipe books as I can and then spend hours browsing through all types of interesting recipes.
When planning to travel abroad I go a little nuts. I spend hours online researching absolutely everything about the country we will be visiting.
What I want:
There are so many things I could list on here in terms of kitchen equipment, future travel plans and life goals. What I want most of all is to run a little something with my husband so we can spend our life doing what we both love.
What I wear:
I’m not quite sure what my style is called but I enjoy a variety of styles and colours. My go to would possibly be a pair of high waisted skinny’s, vest, denim shirt with sleeves rolled up and a pair of soft leather ankle boots.
What I need:
Time. There are just not enough hours in a day. Most bloggers work full time and I am no different. I would love to eventually turn my passion for blogging into a permanent reality but for now I cherish the time I have to spend sharing content with my followers. There is nothing as exciting as planning what I’m going to make, how I am going to present it and reading peoples comments after they have tried my recipe.
