Andrea from Clever Bird Banter is my featured blogger this week. She is a graphic designer, DIYer, wine-drinker and blogger (in no particular order).
She lives in the Midlands with her husband and 2 little girls and blogs about ‘all sorts of stuff’! Read on to find out more about Andrea…
Know – life is messy but it’s beautiful, and in any circumstance, there is choice – the opportunity to choose how we react and the chance to shape the outcome. I know to follow my gut and trust my instincts. I know to cherish the small moments because they are actually the big ones. I know that I’m incredibly fortunate to have everything and everyone in my life that I do.
Love – above all, my sweet baby girls (Addison & Julia) and my husband Murray; our furkids Twinky and Lily are also high up on the love list. I love fresh flowers, handcrafted products, delicious food, technology and beautiful design. I love to be creative, to work hard, to share my knowledge, to help, to matter.
Read – a bit of everything, I mostly try books upon the recommendation of friends – recent reads include:
The Inn at Boonsboro Trilogy by Nora Roberts – bit of romance, bit of mystery
The Legacy Trilogy by local author Melissa Delport – dystopian genre
Blog Inc/Creative Inc/Mom Inc (variety of authors) – great for aspiring bloggers and newbie creative business owners
Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth – you all probably know about these ones thanks to the movies – Four, swoon!
The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley – loved this, now waiting for the other 6 books to come out!
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins (only halfway through!)
Want – to better myself, my life and the lives of those around me through my work, my actions, my words. I want to be more patient – with myself as a mother and with my children. I want to teach them to make things happen for themselves and to always give back; to encourage their creativity and to help them to discover that anything really is possible… I want to slow down, to laugh more, to enjoy life to the max.
Wear – I’m all about CHILL and working from home often means comfort-wear and slippers 😉
Need – more balance, acknowledgement, space, more time in a day, and wine!
