I visited the Cinque Terre in 2009… two years before this blog existed. Sadly that means I don’t have much information on the destination in my own post as I didn’t visit the area with writing about it in mind, but I have found this list of Things to do in the Cinque Terre very useful as well as this Hiking Guide to the Cinque Terre which has certainly made me want to visit the area again soon! I think you might find both of these articles helpful when planning your own visit to the area. And if you’re prefer to avoid the crowds when visiting the Cinque Terre – plan a visit to Italy in winter!
My visit to the Cinque Terre was only one day but the good news is that one day in the Cinque Terre can be sufficient if you plan it properly!
That being said I can’t wait to return and explore at a slightly slower pace (and with less nausea – I was 3 months pregnant during my visit and let’s just say that the ferry wasn’t my favourite memory!)
Keen to “taste” Italy on your travels? Be sure to try these Italian treats during your trip!

This is one of the places on my travel wishlist for sure! So beautiful!
Italy is everywhere amazing, the dishes, the culture, the landscapes. Cinque Terre is a paradise. Everyone in the life need to visit this place.
