This is me…

I started this series many months ago and intended to do something similar on a monthly basis but that never quite happened… So in order to give you a little bit of insight into my life “behind the scenes” this is me…. Pull up your chair, grab a cup of something and let’s have a chat!

Obviously please feel free to add your own answers to the comments below. I’d love to find out more about you too!

Today I am…

Wearing… A comfy, all-black ensemble (to reflect my mood perhaps??)

Eating… Vanilla ice-cream and Milo – don’t judge 😉

Drinking… Black Rooibos

Watching… The Amazing Race – def my favourite reality tv show and the one I would most like to participate in!

Planning… A certain little Minnie Mouse’s birthday party. There was a very long time when I waited for this little gift, not knowing if it would ever arrive, and now she is nearly 3. So blessed by her in my life!

Feeling… A bit overwhelmed by my email inbox….Eeek

Wanting… The weekend to come sooner – our first 2 nights away sans kids in 3 years – and our 11th wedding anniversary!

Needing… More hours in the day, more time to myself.

Thinking… I need to be more proactive with my friendships and stop worrying that everyone is too busy to see me but find ways to connect that work for us as busy moms!

Enjoying… Reading again thanks to a great bookclub selection by my friend Jacs – The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman.

So, now it’s your turn. What are you currently doing?? Add your answers in the comments below!

Kathryn Rossiter

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!

  1. Writing a grocery list for this week, and for our weekend away with my husband’s whole family – quite a feat to organise food for 14 people!
very much an admin day today…ho hum….

  2. Writing a message to invite my friend Kath out for coffee as we’ve wanted to do this for AGES but we haven’t got it right yet!

  3. Trying to be a good mom & wife and just made a homemade chicken.mushroom and spinach pie from scratch and a big pot of creamy rice pudding with almonds for pud! And……………I washed all the pots after that! Now back to packing again and dreaming of the decor I want in our new house in England 🙂 x

  4. Also wanting the weekend to come sooner, we are going away sans baby for our 5 year anniversary – hubby is planning the trip and it’s a surprise. Happy anniversary and to many more happy years to come. Visiting a school for little one this morning with mixed emotions, it’s going to be sad to leave her during the day but happy for her that she can explore and play with friends. Lots of mommy tears.

  5. Hey Sarah – how did the school visit go? It’s always a hard transition at first but pretty soon you’ll forget all about this time and both of you will be loving it!
