The Secret Garden

I love a good English Country Garden. During my years living in the UK we spent many weekends using our National Trust membership and visiting the lovely gardens in the countryside. We lived in Kent which is the area known as the “Garden of England” so were fortunate that many were close by – my favourites were Sissinghurst and Chartwell. Gertrude Jekyll was, arguably, the most important garden designer of the 20th century. She was the gardener who popularized the informal, naturalistic look that we identify with English country gardens today. A new book has recently been released featuring the many gorgeous gardens she designed. Gertrude Jekyll and the Country House Garden. Loving these pics from the book – Just my garden style!

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
