The Constantia Gift Fair

Yesterday I popped into The Constantia Gift Fair currently being held at SARDA on Brommersvlei Road in Constantia. Fortunatley I timed it well so it wasn’t too busy and I could enjoy browsing and photographing. I didn’t have much time to do any buying so I’m hoping to get back there over the weekend – tonight it’s open until 8pm and carries on until Sunday the 11th.

The retail tent was full of amazing gifts and I’m pretty sure I could do most of my Christmas shopping here if I just got my head around who I need to buy for and what my budget is! Eeeek. I spotted an amazing array of home and garden accessories, stunning stationery, fab fashion items and gorgeous gifts.

The food and drink tent is a great spot to grab some lunch, do some wine tasting or look for a food related gift. There are plenty of tables outside to enjoy a coffee or artisan beer and if the weather this weekend is anything like it was yesterday then this will be a great family outing. There is also a kiddies entertainment area to pop by.

If you haven’t yet started your Christmas shopping like myself then this would be an excellent place to start – rather here than in the crowded malls on the 24th I say! Also it’s worth remembering that there are only 3 weeks until the end of term so if you have kids at school you better get cracking on those teachers presents now! Good luck and have fun.

The Constantia Gift Fair is a lifestyle event full of inspirational ideas and hand-picked innovative products – a celebration of gifts with a difference.

  1. Oo, I love this time of year in Cape Town! And this market looks great. It reminds me of all the craft markets we used to browse through when I was a child. And it makes me more than a little envious.. since I am too many miles away right now 🙁

  2. hi, how do we tell them that fans or airconditioning in the tent are a must? and that the seating in the food tent/ shade outside are inadequate?
