The most important thing is to show up. So show up in the life you want to live for yourself. I’ve also learned that with a great deal of dedication and hard work you can achieve anything you set out to do. Yes, really anything, and if you are looking for answers you will find almost everything you need to know on the magical interwebs.
I love cooking and baking and taking pictures of food. I also love eating delicious food. I love swimming in a large body of natural water and hiking in nature, and I can never get enough of spending time with the people I love.
I’m sadly a lapsed avid reader and tend to focus on reading stuff online these days and loads of cookbooks. I do try and get my hand on a good book when I can, but find my attention span is somewhat diminished (downside of the digital life) and only seem to manage books that are extremely gripping. PS please let me know of any un-putdownable books!
I want to travel as often as I can and my bucket list is very long. I would also love to be thinner but that’s an on going work in progress.
I’m definitely more of a casual type preferring jeans and comfy casuals to anything glam. I only wear flat shoes and in summer I literally live in flip flops for 6 months.
I made a conscious effort 10 years ago to move away from consumerism, so this is now a philosophy and way of life for me. I only really ever want things that are useful or which will add value to my life and work. We really don’t need many things and I’m currently in another round of decluttering. I would rather spend my money on experiences than things.
Wise words indeed. Thanks for sharing them Sam!
