Beauty Review: Revlon Photoready Kajal Eyeliners

Thanks to my Beauty Babe, Kirsten, for this colourful beauty review today…

Colour always excites me! The brighter the better!

As a makeup artist, I love creating a natural beautiful face, with a pop of excitement, whether it be a bold lip or a hint of a brightly coloured liner.

I absolutely love what Revlon have done with the Revlon Photoready Kajal Eyeliners they have brought out… such interesting and fun colours to try!

Kajal, otherwise known as Kohl in Arabic, dates back centuries and was originally used by the Ancient Egyptians to protect their eyes from the sun or to prevent eye infections from occurring. I’m pretty sure Cleopatra would have loved a bright yellow Kohl pencil, don’t you!?

These highly pigmented Kajal liners, glide on with ease and have a matte finish. Kajal pencils are best used along the waterline, but can also be brought down into the lash line and then smudged with the very convenient sponge applicator on the opposite end.

There are 5 different shades in the Revlon Photoready Kajal Matte eye pencil range (I tried these 4)

From Left to Right

  1. Matte Marine – an intense pastel turquoise
  2. Matte Charcoal – a soft grey
  3. Matte Espresso – a rich chocolatey brown
  4. Matte Lemon – a bright, cool-toned yellow
  5. Matte Coal – a true vivid black

The colours are strong and intense and definitely make a statement. For those who prefer to stay on the safer side, they also come in a standard black, brown and grey.

What’s your favourite colour eye pencil?
