Recommended Reads – Becoming a better mom

The last week in our house has led me to question myself as a mom a few times… (especially my disciplining skills) All probably due to the colder “indoor” weather which has arrived!

As our oldest child grows it means we, as moms, move into a new area of motherhood for which we have no experience and this means we can constantly improve our skills and knowledge! On my quest to become a better mom I have been doing a bit of reading. Currently on my bedside table is a great book for parents of young children called “How to really love your child” by Dr Ross Campbell (buy it in SA). It is a great resource which I highly recommend. I have also been doing a lot of visiting of various other mom’s blogs, reading their challenges and thoughts on various topics relating to motherhood has really helped me to feel that I am not alone in my struggles….

Here are some good reads which I really enjoyed and found helpful and you might too…

Learning to think like a child @ Steady Mom

How to be a more patient mom in just 24 hours @ Inspired to Action

Why and how to become a morning person @ Motherhood. Your Way.

Why motherhood should not graded on a curve @ The Gypsy Mama

For when you’re tempted to just lost it with your kids @ The Gypsy Mama (this one really stuck a chord with me! not been a great week for me in this department sadly…)

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
