The second Blog Boot Camp took place over the weekend and one of the attendees was Raylene Harvey who wrote a lovely post about her experience here.
Her blog is called Scarlet Aura and it is her space to document her loves of style and sewing…. which she does really well with her beautiful photography!
I enjoyed discovering her blog and I thought you might too… Read on to find out more about Raylene.
I have one life to live, but many opportunities to make my mark on the world so that it extends beyond my existence.
I love sewing, design, and my job as a web developer. I love symphonic rock music and seeing live bands with my hubby. I love singing at the top of my lungs (facial expressions included) while driving my car – re-living the days when I had my own band. But mostly I love dogs. And I’m crazy about Sherlock, my mini Schnauzer puppy.
I’m currently reading Toni Robbins “Awaken The Giant Within” and although it took 31 years, I’m happy to report that my inner giant finally stopped snoring.
To take over the Internet! Just kidding (not really). Okay joking aside – I want to inspire, to be empowered and also to empower women through clothes and style. I want my own online store and fashion design label… a brand that exudes passion, action, strength, creativity, enigma, life force, and the desire to bring positive change. I’m also hoping that through this fashion passion of mine, that I get to travel and see the world.
My style is very simple, but edgy. I usually only wear one accessory at a time. I love dark, moody tones so you will most likely catch me wearing 50 shades of grey, black, dark red, and navy. I absolutely love boots and booties and I wear them all year ’round – even in summer. I’m insanely obsessed with dresses and skirts. I love how you can throw on a dress with a pair of booties, add an accessory or two and you’re out the door!
What I need is for people to stop asking me when I’m gonna have a baby.
