Beauty Review: NEW Pure Beginnings Organic Care range

Today’s review is a guest post by my sister, a mom of THREE (including a 1 month old baby – my new niece!) She is perfectly placed to be reviewing the gorgeous range of organic baby and body products from Pure Beginnings…

Sulphites, parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic colourants, synthetic fragrances and phthalates… are all pretty scary sounding words, right!

Would you choose to put these on your skin or on your baby?

When I first heard about the Pure Beginnings range for babies and kids I jumped at the opportunity to use a locally produced, organically certified product.

I was immediately impressed with the Fun Time Kids Wash and that quickly became my ‘go to’ wash for my kids’ bath time. They love the easy squish top bottle which allows them to use just as much as they need and I love the beautiful clean aroma that fills the bathroom (all the better knowing that my kids are bathing in a product that contains no harmful substances for their sensitive skins).

Then came the switching of toothpastes- my son constantly complained that his regular toothpaste was too “burny” and so we switched to the Pure Beginnings one – this again quickly became a firm favourite and has become know fondly in our house as the ‘Monkey toothpaste’ as it has a delightful monkey on the label! It has a mild flavour, is made with organic ingredients and is fluoride free! What more could one ask for?!

Pure Beginnings have expanded their range even further and now their range includes ever useful wet wipes, teething gel and mossie repellent to save us all. Recently I have seen a sun cream too, which I plan to try as soon as the sun shows itself again!

So is Pure Beginnings just for kids and babies?

I always hoped they would expand to adult products as I suffer with an extremely sensitive skin which needs extra TL and I am happy to report that their range now includes adult shampoo, conditioner and a divine hydrating body lotion. Just what I needed!

I found their products to be mild enough for regular use and have enjoyed the consistency and the nourishment that they have provided my skin and hair with.

I love knowing that they are absolutely no harmful ingredients in them and my skin can attest to this. No more sulphites drying out my scalp. No more harmful parabens that pose risks of hormone disruption and toxicity. No more synthetic ingredients that add to my toxic load!

My skin has benefitted from the hydration that the lotion provides via the use of coconut oil as an important ingredient. The Marula oil assists with maintaining the moisture barrier and protecting against environment aggressors. I have certainly seen a big impact on my hands- a perfect cream for dry winter skin!

My hair has loved the extra nourishment that the Argan oil and Aloe Vera provide. It has responded well to this shampoo and feels more healthy, fuller and nourished.

Pure Beginnings is a range well worth purchasing. They are innovative and produce products which solve the problem of finding safe organic skin care for the whole family!

From wet wipes to hair shampoo we have enjoyed each product that we have tried. You can see more of their products at and can purchase them at Dischem stores across the country.

  1. Great. I’m so excited about this .My skin reacts so badly to inorganic products and I have become extremely careful in choosing beauty products. If these ones are truly wonderful as you write here, I may like to try them out. My skin needs a chemical break!
