Fragrance File: Orissima by Ted Lapidus

You never forget your first visit to Paris!

My first memory of Paris was stepping out of the Metro station on our way to our hotel and spotting the sparkling Eiffel Tower lit up against the indigo sky of Paris at night.

It was magical… everything I’d hoped it would be!

Another memory of our long weekend in the City of Lights was walking through the backroads of Paris, just off the Champs-Élysées, spotting the impeccably dressed Parisian women walking their dogs, chatting on their phones, going about their business in their ever stylish way!

This latest fragrance from Ted Lapidus, Orissima, is a celebration of the Parisienne…

“An ode to the Parisian woman”

Orissima Ted Lapidus

The scent

A Chypre Floral fragrance created by nose, Alexandra Monet, this is a gourmand fragrance, with a sweetly floral and citrusy top note and Peach-Caramel accords.

The top notes are peach, grapefruit and bamboo leaf; middle notes are peony, iris and orange blossom; while base notes are patchouli, caramel and musk.

On the skin there is an initial burst of peach that evokes memories of tarte tatin before pink grapefruit and patchouli take over settling in a warm caramel base.

The bottle

Inspired by the city’s architecture, the Orissima glass bottle is a tower with sculpted sides, representing both the city skyscrapers and the different facets of the Parisian Woman.

The bottle represents a sophisticated woman full of natural grace, while the clear glass represents purity and transparency

The octagonal cap in copper gold adds an enticing, sophisticated allure that is so prevalent with all things Parisienne!

Who wears Orissima from Ted Lapidus?

This intense scent has been created to represent the Parisian Woman, a modern multi-faceted icon. She radiates elegance, dazzles with her charm and emits style.

This scent certainly has staying power and would suit a woman who does too, one who’s confident, accomplished, sexy and effortlessly chic.

Orissima is for the modern woman, of any age, who enjoys wearing a gourmand scent – day or night – although I feel it would suit more mature woman who likes to stand out, esp on a night out!

  1. I am going to Paris in January 2018 and just can not WAIT to make some Parisienne memories! The place that we’ll be visiting that most excite me at the moment is the Palace of Versaille!! I am just so damn excited to see the opulence, style & beauty of the place!
My second thing I am most looking forward too…. croissants (or any type of freshly baked pastry) in street side coffee shops while watching the world go by.

  2. I would love to go visit the Eiffel tower in Paris and go on a boat sailing under the sunset sipping on cocktails and canapés with my partner, enjoy the atmosphere would be a dream come true

The highlight for me will be visiting:
The Louvre Art Gallery I absolutely love art and would probably spend hours lost in a world of masterpieces of paintings and artefacts. Especially the Mona Lisa. I can picture myself under the Glass pyramid at the museum. It will be do exciting to see hundreds of treasures that belonged to Romans, Egyptians Greeks etc. It will be captivating. So much to see, experience and learn. And in between my visit through this vast gallery I will enjoy the local cuisine offered in a cafe the gallery. And buy souvenirs and take loads of pictures for memories to treasure.

I would love to sample the finest French cuisine and dream of being invited to a fashion show. I would love to take in the sights of this beautiful city. My companion would be home other than my husband and we would go to the Love Locks bridge, write out names on a lock and be part of the numerous amount of people who have done this.

  7. Wow haven’t been there but I would love to see the louvre museum and the Pont des Arts bridge.

  8. I would love to see the Eiffel Tower and the Passerelle Debilly in Paris. I love food i would love to visit the patisseries and cafes. France is a heaven of fashion and being fabulous would shop and eat my heart out.
