I love that my Beauty Babes series allows new voices to share their beauty thoughts and reviews… It really brings me much joy to share my space today with Noks who is reviewing 2 x Optiphi products.
My skin has been going through quite a lot for the past year and a half, from taking Accutane, introducing new acids to my skincare and now moving into the winter months.
My skin concerns are dehydration and a bit of melasma on my outer cheeks and chin, so I am always excited to try new skincare products that promise to revive the skins barrier function and reduce uneven skin.
Optiphi is a scientifically based anti-ageing premium skincare brand with a wide range of professional facial treatments and active products. I tried out their Rejuvenating Revitalizer and Eyesigns Active Gel.
The Eyesigns Active Gel promises to be a fast-absorbing eye serum that targets the three major visual aspects of ageing around the eye area – fine lines and wrinkles, dark circles, and puffiness. It’s said to have a powerful blend of peptides and proteins that rebuilds collagen and elastin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles, crow’s feet and puffy eye bags.
The Rejuvenating Revitalizer promises to fights all visible signs of ageing, pro-actively targeting pigmentation and hydration while stimulating collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production, improving fine lines and wrinkles.
The 5 main ingredients in the Eyesigns Active Gel are Aqua, Niacinamide, Glycerine Dimethicone and Sodium acrylate. Niacinamide is my favourite acid of all time; it’s an effective skin-restoring ingredient that offers multiple benefits for ageing and blemish-prone skin. Among these benefits is the ability to visibly improve enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, dullness, and a weakened skin surface.
The Rejuvenating Revitalizer top ingredients are Aqua, Trimethylolpropane, Glyceryl, Glyceryl and Caprylic. Caprylic is my favourite from this list; it’s a super gentle ingredient used in skin care products to moisturize and replenish skin. Lower in the ingredient list, you will also find powerhouse ingredient Retinol – so make sure you always use your sunscreen.
After cleansing I apply a tiny amount of the eye cream around my eye area, using light tapping with my ring fingers, followed by my treatment step, then the Rejuvenating Revitalizer cream ending with my sunscreen.
I love using both of these products so much! I use the Eyesigns Active Gel during my self-care days when I have time and feeling a bit fancy. The Rejuvenating Revitalizer is the girl she thinks she is! It leaves my skin feeling super hydrated and plump without feeling sticky. I can specifically feel the difference after applying it to my skin, especially when I find my skin parched and begging for extra hydration. The lightweight cream formula feels like an absolute dream!
People who want to treat the signs of aging: dehydration, impaired skin barrier function, pigmentation, will benefit a lot from these products.
What impressed me the most about these Optiphi products is how well my skin immediately responded to them. When my skin doesn’t like a product, it reacts badly immediately. Two months later I can 100% feel a noticeable difference with hydration. I’d definitely say the products have more of an impact on my skin texture than enlarged pores and uneven skin tone, but I’m going to continue using it in the hopes that those bad boys erase themselves, even a little.
