Finally Cape Town’s Table Mountain National Park has come up with another discount access card for locals which takes the place of the Cape Town Wild card which my family was so fond of using. This is an exclusive opportunity for Cape Town residents to discover the beautiful natural areas on their doorstep.
The cost of the card is R80 which is incredibly reasonable when you think that one one adult entry into Cape Point is the same price. It will increase to R85 on 1 November 2011, in-line with South African National Parks annual tariff increases.
We loved our Cape Town Wild cards and used them often especially to visit Boulders and Silvermine – both fantastic spots for small kids! I was really disappointed with the Wild card tariffs went up to almost R300 and was unable to renew but I will definitely be purchasing a “My Green Card” for our family shortly!
To purchase TMNP’s “My Green Card”, a South African ID, 2 ID photographs and proof of residence is required. For further information on TMNP’s My Green Card call +27 (0)21 701 8692, or e-mail email@example.com or visit www.sanparks.org
