Right, so where are we… August. Nope July! Yes, we’re recapping My 5 Favourite Finds for the month of July!

So here are the 5 products that caught my fancy recently… the ones I think you should know about!!

My 5 Favourite Finds for July 2017

1. Inoar Vegan Shampoo & Conditioner

vegan shampoo and conditioner

First up: This newest product offering from Inoar will make my Vegan readers very happy!

Inoar, a Brazilian based brand, is a Peta listed Cruelty Free company and while all of Inoar products never undergo animal testing, this new Vegan line has no ingredients of animal origin either. It was created to celebrate the attitude of mutual respect for nature, the environment and animals.

Products in the Inoar Vegan range are formulated using vegetable oils, such as coconut and olive oil, that penetrate deep into the hair fibers, caring for your hair with maximum performance.

I absolutely adored the delicious coconut scent of this shampoo and conditioner. Key ingredients in this range include coconut oil, macadamia oil, olive oil, argan oil and wheat germ oil. My hair was left not only smelling delicious, but also felt hydrated, healthy, super soft and very moisturized. This particular range is also great for those needing some extra oomph when it comes to promoting hair growth. I really enjoyed the results. Both the shampoo and the condition retail for R320ea and are avail online via the Inoar online shop linked above.

2. Maui Jim sunglasses

I fell in love with Maui Jim on our recent holiday to Greece…

But, no, I wasn’t cheating on my husband 🙂 Read on to find out more!

A few weeks I shared my love for this amazing sunglasses brand in a post about the benefits of choosing to wear polarized sunglasses, but I wanted to include this item into my favourite finds list for the month as it really has been a revelation!

I’m loving how comfortable and stylish my sunnies look, but also the amazing quality of the product – the colour clarity, crisp vision, polarization and lens technology. Maui Jim sunglasses have an excellent reputation and I can vouch that it’s for very good reason!

I wore them every day of my sailing trip in the sunshine, and haven’t taken them off a day since even though Cape Town skies are rather grey and gloomy at present. As a light blue eyed person, my sunglasses really help me to cope with the glare of cloudy days so they stay on at all times of the year!

3. Kiehl’s Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream

kiehl's pure vitality

My winter skin is not a pretty sight… it’s super dry and dehydrated and lacking in all sorts of good things like moisture, radiance and glow!

Fortunately this winter Kiehl’s came to my rescue with their new Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream

This delicious daily moisturiser is very different from the usual types of moisturisers I’ve used. It’s a gel-creme that has a slightly thick velvety texture.

Upon first application my skin felt soft, plump and looked relaxed and after a few weeks of using this product I found my dry skin was lapping it up.

Key ingredients include naturally great hydrators such as glycerin, Shea butter and bees-wax. While the hero ingredients are Manuka honey and ginseng. All the way from New Zealand, Manuka honey contains the highest levels of polyphenol (a top-notch antioxidant) and it delivers hydrating and antibacterial properties while also improving your skin’s barrier repair function.

Ultra-hydrating and filled with antioxidants, this moisturiser will smooth and strengthen your skin and feel great! (R895).

4. Essie “Satin Sister” nail lacquer

Essie’s winter ‘Getting Groovy’ collection recently made it’s way across my desk and I immediately fell in love with the gorgeous peacock blue called Satin Sister!

The collection is inspired by the swinging 60s in London. Imagine double decker buses, London nightclubs, “Gogo girl” white platform boots and disco balls. In fact we recently attended a 60s dress up event and this was EXACTLY the look I went for…

Other colours in the collection include Ready to Boa, Go With the Flowy, Getting Groovy, Party on a Platform, and Oh Behave so if you’re in the mood for a little bit of 60s nostalgia why not try them out!  (R129.95ea)

5. Maybelline Strobing Stick Illuminating Highlighters

Maybelline Strobing Stick

These pretties have been a welcome addition to my winter makeup routine…

Maybelline‘s Strobing Stick Illuminating Highlighters are just the thing to add a touch of luminosity to pale winter skin. I’ve been reaching for these whenever I’ve needed an extra boost of brightness!

Maybelline Strobing Stick

These new sticks make highlighting your cheekbones that much easier!! All you need do is sweep the stick across the targeted area to add dimension. To enhance cheeks, highlight the top of the cheekbones. To accentuate features use as a spotlight on the center of the face. To brighten the eye area use the stick on the upper brow bone and inner corner of the eye.

I used the darkest stick to highlight on my cheekbones and the lightest to add a subtle shimmer to my brow bone, then blend, blend, blend with my fingers. Easy peasy highlighting in a (strobe light) flash! (R169.99ea)
