Today I’m featuring an up-and-coming “mommy” blog – I hate that term but sometimes is the best way to describe a particular niche blog! Anyway Maz is not your average mommy. She blogs over at
Caffeine and Fairydust about her lovely life with her 2 small kids, 2 cats and a rat! By day she is a Fashion Designer and by night she stays sane by blogging –> which is exactly the reason I started blogging too! I like her already 😉

Know: Tigers don’t lose sleep over the opinions of sheep. I know that I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul. Everything is always okay in the end and if it’s not okay, then it’s not the end. I know not to stress the could haves, if it should have, it would have. I know that being yourself will draw people to you for the rest of your life. Most of all, I know that there is nothing more important than family.
Love: My family… I cannot explain the amount of love I have for my kids. I love writing (blogging), reading, drawing, music, cooking, lazing on the couch watching series, sleeping in (I think I remember what that feels like), drinking good coffee, getting tattooed, Star Wars, fashion, anything that has to do with animals (especially cats), living in Cape Town and exploring our gorgeous country!
Read: There are just too many good books out in the world…I absolutely love reading and have have a very diverse taste in books! My absolute favourite is the Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell. A book I read recently that brought me to tears was The Covenant by Naomi Ragen – if you have the time, do yourself a favour and read it, it is very though provoking and very relevant to what is going on in the world at the moment. I also love anything scary – I have an amazing imagination! I have always been obsessed with the Harry Potter series, and of course anything by Bram Stoker and Edgar Allen Poe. If I don’t stop now this list won’t end.
Want: My heart is full and content, but my materialistic side is begging for a Micheal Kors “Slim Runway” leather strap watch and pretty much the entire Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2015 RTW range.
Wear: I am currently on maternity leave and none of my old clothes fit me anymore… sad right? I feel like I’ve been pregnant for so long that I no longer know how to wear normal clothes! My go to outfits normally consist out of black ponti leggings and oversized embellished blouses/tunics/kimono’s with pumps (or boots in Winter) or stretchy maxi dresses with wedges. I love anything with guipure lace and bold accessories! I also love my Dolce & Gabbana sunnies and Black Cherry Baroque clutch.
Need: My family, love, affection, happiness, good coffee, good food and success.
