Make up lesson with Bobbi Brown

Towards the end of last year I was invited by a fellow blogger – Tori from Kiss, Blush and Tell – to attend an event held by Bobbi Brown at Edgars in the V&A Waterfront where I was introduced to their stunning range of beautiful beauty products and magical make-up.

The purpose of the evening was to have a make up lesson with Bobbi Brown. I was treated to a lesson on The Secret to Perfect Skin about Foundation and Skin Prep and how important “laying the perfect foundation” really is. The key to a perfect made up face is starting with a properly prepared canvas! I was amazed at how selecting the right tone of foundation and applying it the correct way (starting in the middle of the face and working outwards) can make such a difference. After a really informative evening enjoying sparkling wine and a few snacks we came away armed with some great knowledge and a voucher to return and enjoy another make-up lesson on them! A few weeks later I returned to claim my voucher and took them up on the Pretty Powerful Make-up lesson. It was so worth the drive through to the Waterfront! I learnt so much and since then have definitely grown in my confidence on how to apply make-up. And this time I timed it well so that I didn’t just head straight home as I had the first time – I made sure I had plans for dinner on the town…

So if you are needing to revamp your “look” or just learn a bit about one aspect of make up be sure to head down to your nearest Bobbi Brown make-up counter. I’m planning on returning soon for one about Smokey Eyes!

  1. This is cool! Do you have to make an appointment and pay for the other lessons too, or just for the Special Occasion one?

    1. Andrea I think it’s probably best to make an appointment for all of them but as far as I know the only lesson you pay for is special occassion! The contact details are found here
