September 2011 the tent of dream returns to the Mother City. The legendary Madame Zingara restaurant is setting up it’s beautiful “Theatre of Dreams” next to Century City. This will be the Madame’s ten year anniversary and the spectacular will showcase all the best singing, dancing and acrobatic acts from the past few years. As usual top act – Three Tons of Fun – will entertain the audience between acts and finish off the show with their show stopping song renditions that will get everyone participating.
Madame Zingara started life in Cape Town’s Loop Street and became well known for their unique atmosphere and chocolate chilli fillet. After a fire destroyed the venue in 2006, the “Theatre of Dreams” was born – a fantastical dinner experience housed in one of the few remaining antique mirror tents in the world.
If you have not yet experienced this fantastical show – please do yourself a favour and book a seat before they are sold out. The beautiful, unique tent is worth a visit alone! Tickets are a bit on the pricey side but when you take into account that they cover the 4 course meal and a fabulous line up of entertainment then they are well worth it – esp for a special occassion. We treated ourselves to an anniversary dinner with a difference a few year back. Prices range from R365 for normal seating to R450 for Golden Circle and R945 for New Year’s Eve (a first!).
A night at Madame Zingara is an experience you won’t forget!
