Inspiring Interiors: Lula Fabrics Pop-Up Shop

I LOVE interiors and interior design. All the books I buy at the moment are about decorating! In recent years I’ve actually realised that I LOVE fabrics… so much so that I actually think I may have missed my calling somewhere along the line. I think I should have chosen a career in interior or textile design. Alas now I just get to fiddle around in my own home, on my own limited budget!!! But that doesn’t mean a girl can’t dream….

Which is why I recently popped in to the pop-up shop of lovely local fabric company – Lula Fabrics.

“Lula” is the Xhosa for “Easy, light and comfortable”

I was immediately taken with the gorgeous colourful fabrics on display. Designs ranged from bold, bright and beautiful patterns, to simple striking statement prints.

All the fabrics are printed in Cape Town on mostly locally produced sumptuous linens and cottons and they all have a beautiful hand printed look and feel.

Ranges include tropical leaves, tribal designs, geometric patterns, animal prints and more – in every colour of the rainbow!

Now I just need something to reupholster… and a budget 😉

She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
