Weekend Wanderings: Klein River Cheese Farm near Stanford

One of the must visit family-friendly spots on a visit to Stanford is the Klein Rivier Cheese Farm.

In summer time you can order picnic baskets and spread out over the large grassed area for a lovely lunch while your kids enjoy the neighbouring playground or petting the farm animals…

However we were here in winter and the picnic basket wasn’t an option but our kids were able to enjoy feeding the farm animals and playing in the play area while we browsed & tasted the cheese at the farm stall and then settled in to a chair to enjoy the sunshine on our backs and the view of the hills surrounding Stanford. For a little while we were pretty much in heaven – peace, quiet, green hills, sunshine, happy kids, cheese and views for days!

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for almost 7 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
