One of my favourite beauty blogs is All Dolled Up and today I’m super excited to be sharing my space with one of the blogging beauties behind the screen – Jules da Silva!
Jules together with her partner in lipstick, Camilla, are uber passionate about make-up, skincare, hair products and nail polish and so started their website as a way of sharing their passion and beauty knowledge with others. They certainly know their beauty stuff – if you’ve watched their YouTube videos of products they have finished over the past year and see the sheer number of empties you can attest to that!!
Anyway without further ado please take it away Jules…
Know: That life is short. That there is nothing more important in the world than kindness, patience, consideration for others and a grateful heart. That getting older means learning to love yourself and not worrying what other people think. That wrinkles aren’t something to be feared and ageing is a privilege that some people aren’t lucky enough to experience. That everything is temporary. That your friends are the family you choose. That life is so much more fun when you do it on your own terms. That pizza and exercise aren’t mutually exclusive. That it’s all about connection: with yourself, with your loved ones and with the planet that we live on. That self-awareness is the only way to be truly happy.
Love: Face masks. Magazines. Potatoes, in any form. Greece. Denim shorts. Anything that sparkles. Chardonnay. Going to weddings. Marilyn Monroe. Top knots. Colour co-ordination. Biographical books and movies. The beach. Pink lipstick. Wagamama. Christmas.
Read: Emails. All. Day. Long. It is the scourge of our generation, and one day people will look back and think we were all crazy for spending our lives communicating with each other through a keyboard and a computer screen.
Want: More tolerance and compassion in the world, and for people to realise we’re all in this together.
Wear: Simple things like shorts and t-shirts, playsuits, floaty dresses, flat shoes and stretchy jeans. I like to be comfortable but still pulled together.
Need: To always maintain perspective. To feel. To care. To live with purpose.
