It’s Amarula time!!

Recently I shared with you my entry for the AMARULA BLOGGER COMPETITION. My idea was for a New Mom’s Gift Hamper and guess what….

The winner of Amarula’s gifting inspiration competition for South African bloggers is Kathryn Rossiter of becomingyou.co.za.

Yes, I’m the winner!! Thank you to all of you for your suggestions of things you missed when you were pregnant. I included many of your suggestions in my hamper including Amarula, soft cheeses, dark chocolate, coffee, sushi and biltong.

The judges included Estee Kershoff, Elle Deco’s managing editor; Jane Broughton, contributor to Food & Home Entertaining; Samantha Laura Kaye, celebrity and blogger; and members of the Amarula marketing team, and the chose my entry for its “refreshing originality”.

“The range of entries certainly demonstrated how versatile this original brand can be for so many different occasions and for so many different types of people,” said Amarula brand manager for South Africa, Christelle Bester. “But this was an idea that really stood out. It really highlighted just how much you can make someone feel extra-special and truly treated when you give them Amarula,” Bester added.

Now, if you need me I’ll be sipping my Amarula on ice, watching the sunset! Unfortunately it will be in back garden and NOT on safari but I’m hoping I’ll win a safari trip soon and I’ll definitely be taking a few bottles with me!
