Today I am pleased to feature Candice from The Gorgeous Gourmet on my blogger interview series. She is a vanilla-obsessed eater, baker and cook from Cape Town and she documents her adventures in and out of the kitchen on her blog.
I thoroughly enjoy getting to know various inspirational South African bloggers by asking them a series of questions namely: “What I…” Know, Love, Read, Want, Wear, Need. Read on below to discover Candice’s answers…
I’m a “work in progress”. That grace is more than I could ever earn or need.
My amazing boyfriend Luke, my (small) but wonderfully supportive family, and friends who see the best in me. Being in the kitchen, happily baking for hours. Cape Town, for its beauty, its people and its potential. Yellow roses. Vanilla pods. Sunshine.
a lot of food blogs and the occasional magazine. I have a lovely collection of books at home, so I love being able to browse through the shelves when the mood strikes.
A beautiful home. I want to create an inviting space that is both my inspiration and refuge. A Kitchen Aid and SLR camera would also be fantastic!
Skirts – I never wear pants/jeans unless absolutely necessary. I tend to wear a lot of white, and very minimal jewellery.
Balance. I’m realizing this more and more – work seems to be infringing negatively on other important areas in my life, so I’ve realized that I need to make active changes to rectify this. A little bit more perspective and stress-management skills would also be appreciated!
Thanks so much for sharing your answers Candice – I’m totally keen if you ever need a taste tester! Your food photos make me droooool!
