Recently I stumbled across a very beautifully photographed local fashion blog called Loubous and Lattes. The blogger behind the blog and in front of the camera is the ever stylish Amanda Custo and I am pleased to share my online space with her today…
What I KNOW:
“To be irreplaceable, one must always be different”- as madame Chanel said. Be unique – really unique. Getting inspiration from different sources is great, but staying true to oneself in whatever you do is key!
What I LOVE:
That feeling I get in the morning when I smell the Rosabaya brewing in my Nespresso machine and wondering what the day might bring…closely followed by the ocean, in general – it has the most wonderful therapeutic effect on me and I feel the most refreshed after a holiday of swimming, sunning and dreaming. Most of my favourite memories are associated with the sea.
My husband (who takes the pictures for my blog), and our six year old son.
Black and White: Photography, Fashion and Flooring!
Weddings: By day, I am a wedding photographer. I could never get tired of lacy gowns, flowers, wedding cake and tears of happiness.
Hats and scarves: I have a little (OK BIG) obsession – I collect hats and scarves. Love the nostalgic feeling they give me whenever I wear them.
Paris: In the spring time. In the fall. Whenever.
What I READ:
Magazines, fiction, biographies…I still have my first generation Kindle and can’t bring myself to switch to reading on the iPad!
Current favourites include The Night Circus, The Millennium Series (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo etc.) Roald Dahl’s Complete Collection of Short Stories, Elle, Vogue and W magazine (for their inspiring imagery).
What I WANT:
An eco-friendly house with a view, two smily-clumsy Golden Retrievers (that I can walk on the beach), a sail boat…
And an initialed Louis Vuitton monogram canvas carryall.
What I WEAR:
Everything from Mr. Price to Prada. The secret is in knowing how to combine it.
What I NEED:
A pair of Hunter Wellies. (I have my eye on a pair of Berry colored ones).
I also need to be reminded (quite frequently) to BE PATIENT. Good things come to those who wait.
