How to Wear: Studs

Recently I started a new series called “How to Wear…” and I’ve been calling in a few fashion experts to help me in this department as I’m still on my own journey to fashion success!

Today I’m sharing my space with personal stylist, Pippa Leentra, from Pippa J Styling. She is here to help us with some tips on How to Wear Studs – a big trend for winter!

If you haven’t been reading the fashion mags or browsing the malls lately you might like to know that studs are a must-have for your wardrobe this winter. Many of my clients are wanting to look a little more edgy, and studs will definitely help you to achieve this look. A trend to try this season!

If you love the androgynous look, like myself, you might want to try wearing a studded shirt with skinny jeans like the one featured above from Country Road. Finish off the look with a pair of brogues on your feet, and you’ll have the perfect dose of subtle ‘masculinity’ to work the androgyny trend.

If you’re not comfortable wearing studs on your actual clothing, then go for a studded accessory like a handbag, belt, or shoes.

The options in stores are endless at the moment so you can easily find something studded that works for you and your wardrobe.

P.S. Wearing ALL your studded items at once definitely won’t work! You might like to invest in a studded belt, shoes and jacket but please keep the studs in your outfit to one item only!
