How to…. Update Bedroom Decor Seasonally

Not much can beat good quality cotton bed linen – diving into a freshly made bed with crisp, clean sheets and a cosy duvet is one of life’s simple pleasures that I don’t think I’ll ever take forgranted! It really is just one of the happiest moments of my day, as I’m sure it is for most moms 😉

Over the past few months I’ve been sharing a series of Room Reveals about my own home and I recently shared my Main Bedroom.

This room is one of my happiest spaces at home and I’m pleased with how it’s come together. It’s pretty and comfortable, but I’ve now had this same “look” for years. The same bedside lamps, headboard, bedside tables, cushions and throw. I love them all and I def don’t want to get rid of them, but sometimes you just need an update.

Today I’m taking it one step further and showing you how I’ve updated my bedroom decor from Summer to Winter and back to Summer again all thanks to Superbalist’s NEW range of Sixth Floor bedding.

When Superbalist got in touch with me about trying out a set of linen from their new Sixth Floor range I jumped at the chance.

I headed on over to choose which linen would work best for my space and came across a few good options… ones that would be slightly different from my usual option of all-white!

I received the last one on my list – the reversible grey and white set. And it was just the change of tone I needed to create a more cosy winter bedroom!

I popped it on the bed grey side up and added a few extra elements such as a warm cosy faux fur throw and switched out my bedside lamps for white ones with warm lightbulbs. I also added in a few more scented candles to add to the soft lighting.

Here’s my new winter bedroom created using the reversible grey & white linen from Sixth Floor.

But Spring is around the corner so in order to make the most of this versatile bed linen I set about creating a new bedroom decor look for Spring and Summer using the very same linen set, reversed!

With the plain white linen as my backdrop I brought back the duck egg blue bedside lamps and found a few other pretty items from around my home to add a splash of colour. a flowering orchid from the bathroom, a beautiful mug, a pretty book and a duck egg blue throw from the back of the couch in the lounge made it’s way to the bedroom to add a splash of freshness to this space and transform it into an oasis of cool calm for the warmer months.

So what do you think? Is changing up your bedroom decor for the new season something you’ve done before. To be honest I hadn’t tried it before, but now that I have I can really see the benefits in doing so and will definitely be changing things around again in the future.

This set of quality 100% cotton bedding from Sixth Floor makes it really easy to change your bedroom decor seasonally, especially for those with space or budget constraints who can only afford to have one set of linen. It certainly combines style and luxury at a very affordable price! This Queen sized set with 2 pillowcases was only R699!!

Investing in good quality bed linen has never been more affordable and with such a wide selection to choose from there’s something to suit every style from Sixth Floor at Superbalist.
