Read on below to find out more about her and her journey…

Every day life might not be what you imagined when you were little. In’s and out’s of adulting can be rather stressful and banal. The important things is to make the bits in between count. don’t waste your time on things that add to the stress, go for runs, spend time with your family, eat things you love. Keep thinking “If all I will wake up with tomorrow is what I was grateful for today, what would I have”

My son and husband are my world. Being with them makes my heart swell with love. My family as a whole. Good friends. Delicious foods, not always gourmet stuff, give me great take out anyday. Being challenged, excelling in the challenge and then getting recognition for it.

I am a big fan of fantasy. More scifi and alternative history than D&D type of fantasy. I used to love chicklit when I was a lot younger until I picked up my first Earth Child Series book and discovered the kind of worlds books can create. My reading took a big knock when I was pregnant, my attention span was gone and it took a long time to get it back.

To be successful, don’t we all? I want to be successful in my weightloss and health journey. I want to be a successful parent. I want to be successful in whatever career I find myself in throughout my life. I want to live successfully with as little regret as possible. This year I have decided to stop waiting for things to be “right”, if I can do it I will.

There is a meme that says “My favorite fashion style is called “I wasn’t planning on getting out of the car” that is often me. Being overweight to the extent I am, it’s difficult to find stuff that looks good and doesn’t bankrupt me. I do my best with what I have and it will be interesting to see how it changes as my journey change what I can and will wear. I also really love corsets and wish I had more reasons to wear.

A holiday. A real all out holiday, with trekking and discovering. Somewhere I haven’t been to so that my soul and mind can become richer and my knowlege broader and my heart humble. We are planning a trip to iceland in 2018, I am betting that will go a long way to filling that need

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
