WIN a manicure for you and a friend from Hello Gorgeous!

During the holidays I popped in to a new nail bar with my little girl for a mommy/ daughter date where we were both treated to a mani side by side. Hello Gorgeous is a lovely little space that has recently opened it’s doors in Newlands, Cape Town specializing in hand and foot treatments. This pretty pink and black space is a lovely new addition to the Newlands Quarter shopping mall in Dean Street and is a great spot to pop in to when you needing to add a splash of colour to your life!

Speaking of colour both myself and my daughter are crazy about bright, colourful nail polish at the moment so there was no way we were going for a French manicure… rather we were going to select one of the gorgeous colours form the line up of Essie nail polish colour available. My favourite was a bright coral called (which I subsequently had to go back to buy after loving my nails so much) My daughter chose Barbie pink with sparkles of course! We sat back and enjoyed a little chat while we had our hands pampered, preened and prettied.

It was my little princess’s first experience of a manicure at a salon and her excited smile was priceless! It was one of those moments when I had to pinch myself that my little girl was sitting next to me and we were enjoying this together esp after so many years of waiting for her! We had such a lovely experience together and I’m very keen to do it again soon. I’d really recommend it as a special outing for you and your favourite little girl (and I think most grown up girls would love it too!)

With that in mind I am pleased to be offering a giveaway from Hello Gorgeous.

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for almost 7 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!

  1. I would love to treat my sister! As a beauty therapist herself, she is always treating other people, so I think she deserves some spoiling for herself!

  2. I’ve entered and am waiting to win…I need pretty nails for my wedding! And I would take my mom so she can do the “mother-of-the-bride” thing in style

  3. I don’t have too many girly female friends, so I’d probably take my mom. We could have a little mother daughter bonding session of our own and she deserves a little prettiness in her life.

  4. I would love to take my sister and have some bonding time. She never has her nais done and I haven’t been in months! It will be huge treat for us

  6. I would love to take my 3yr old. She loves getting her nails painted. And it would be a mommy & daughter day out for us.

  7. I would take my sister, she does her own house work and always running after her kids so she could do with some pampering to

  8. I would like to pamper my baby sister which is turning 18 soon …she does so much for me! In the morning I have to leave home at 6am to get to work , my 5 year old daughter is picked up at 7am…so my sister gets her ready for school and in the afternoon sees that she undresses & have lunch etc She is a girly girl turning a young lady soon so this would be ideal:) xxx thank u

  9. This would be such a great surprize to give to my friend and together we would love every minute of being spoiled 🙂

  10. I would love to be able to treat my flatmate & bestie since i was 3, Kayli Vee to a trip to the nail bar. She has gone through so much this year and continues to keep her head up! She deserves to be treated!

  11. My Beauty-therapist-sister has been treating me to so many gratis treatments lately, i’d love to repay her in kind!

  12. I would love to treat my sister to a manicure as she has 3 young step children to look after and with “Back to School” she really needs a break already!! She also moved to the Northern Suburbs when she got married so we don’t see each other that often any more so it would be lovely to have some sister sister time together <3

  13. I would treat my sister Nicole. She was recently admitted to hospital with some issues with her heart and this would such a wonderful treat to look forward to when she is discharged.

  14. I would treat my mom. She is currently planning my wedding. It would be great to treat and pamper her.

  15. Hi there I would love to treat my little daughter to a manicure. She’s been wanting one for a long time and she’s just 6 years old. This story just made me realise how much more she will love it.

  16. Hmm, I reckon winning this could make me quite popular amongst my friends! I think I’d probably take a friend of mine who has just had a baby- great way for both of us to have some much needed pampering

  17. Oh I would SO love to treat my 5-year-old daughter Leilah! We could have a mommy-daughter day! It’ll be such fun and SO overdue, especially since her baby brother has been born – he’s 4 months old now and it’s been quite a busy time breastfeeding and getting used to a 4th member of the family! Leilah and I can seriously do with some special bonding time and a pampering session woukd be the best girls’ outing for us! 😉 here’s holding thumbs!

  18. Ah, your daughter looks SO thrilled with her nail bar experience – so cute! I would LOVE to win this prize so that I can treat my mom to a morning of pampering. She has 5 kids, 3 who still live at home, AND she looks after my son while I’m at work, so she NEEDS a bit of ‘me-time’, and it would be so lovely to spend some quality time with her 🙂 Fingers crossed!

  19. I’d treat my older sister. She lands back in South Africa today after 12,5 years in London. A big brave and very emotional move but it’s going to be so amazing to have her close to us again and I know that the positivity and energy of South Africans will make her move worth it!

  20. I would love to treat my sister to a manicure. She has stopped biting her nails and has never ever had a manicure!

  21. I would love to treat my amazing friend, Jenna Sleep. She is the type of friend who is always there when you need her, knows just what to say when I’m feeling down, and gives hugs that heal. I would like to do something special with her to say thank you. X

  22. This is such a great way to have bonding time with my 14 year-old daughter! Definitely one big thing we have in common is enjoying a little bit of pampering together and, at this stage in her life, finding things in common can be a little difficult….
