Life isn’t a bed of roses, but rather what you make of it! Everyday I consciously make a decision to be happy and show some love to those who cross my path. We don’t take time to appreciate the beauty of nature, the fresh air, our family/friends, instead we seem to all be running the same silly ‘rat race’. Loving others teaches you how to love yourself. You can never please everyone and so I’ve long since given up trying.
I love my family, I am really blessed to have a large extended family who love getting together and overwhelming the neighbors. I love my mom more than the air I breathe. I am a Christian and God plays a huge role in my life, from daily decisions to the meaning of my life and the impact I would like to make on this mortal coil. My kitties both at home and at work, they keep me sane, give me unconditional love and never ask any questions. My friends, they are the siblings I have never had, they make me laugh, they teach me the value of being treasured and loved without judgement.
My all time favorites are forensic pathology , crime and detective series such as Kathy Reichs , Ian Rankin , Patricia Cornwall. However these days I have found myself reading a mixture of genre’s as I now review books for Penguin books. I recently really enjoyed reading a local author named Gareth Crocker and his book titled KING. It kept me enthralled until the very last page.
A new car desperately, mine has one foot in the grave. A home of my own that I can decorate as I please. To be able to work from home doing what I love one day, this would be a mixture of graphic design, social media and printing. To have a studio where I can teach women to sew and help with the printing to help uplift and empower where I can.
I am ‘curvaceous’ and therefore comfort is key. I love jeans, pretty printed pumps, loafers, fabulous handbags and accessories. I tend to stick to monochrome colors and splash out with color in my accessories and shoes. Sunglasses are my absolute addiction, they always double up in keeping my wild and woolly curls away from my face.
A shopping spree at @home. To travel again, I miss getting to experience different cultures and exploring new and interesting destinations. A new wardrobe desperately, but then who doesn’t right? Lots of love and encouragement I am my own worst critic when it comes to my self image. Friends and family they are my backbone on whom I can depend. My mom or ‘mumsy’ as I call her, she is the ‘ying’ to my ‘yang’
