Win a massage from Healing feet

Nothing relaxes me more than indulging in an hour to myself whilst experiencing a massage – some time to zone out the “noise” of the world and head off to a space that is calm and peaceful where I don’t have to think about anything or anyone! I was fortunate enough to enjoy just such an hour recently when I visited Lindsay at her therapy practice called “Healing Feet” and I can HIGHLY recommend it.

Lindsay practices a variety of healing therapies mainly massage and reflexology for hands and feet and is especially interested how our psychological and emotional states affect the body and passionate about using touch therapies to bring balance and healing to our bodies.

In our frantic stress-filled times we increasingly tend to suppress both emotional and physical distress. In the end it is often our bodies that take the brunt of abuse, which manifests as physical tension and pain. In my work I am privileged to witness the amazing powers of the body and how it utilizes the energy from touch therapies to reveal – and then heal – the root of its distress. My aim is to facilitate the potential for each individual client to increase their own physical and mental awareness, allowing for optimal functioning and the natural healing of both their body and mind.

Another area that Lindsay specializes in is Reflexology – an ancient holistic treatment involving the massage and manipulation of specific areas on the hands and feet. These points are thought to connect with and reflect corresponding internal organs, revealing areas in the body that are blocked and need relief. It involves gentle massage of the feet and loosening up of the joints before applying moderate to firm pressure to the areas on the feet in need of attention. Reflexology has been known to help with a range of problems, illnesses, insomnia and fertility issues and is deeply relaxing so ideal for treating stress.

Lindsay also offers a revitalising pedicure that includes exfoliation, clipping, filing and cuticle attention as well as a taste of Reflexology incorporated into the foot massage followed by a pop of colour of your choice.

Today I am so pleased to be able to offer all Becoming you readers the chance to win a 60 min massage incl. some Reflexology on either hands or feet valued at R280.

She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!

  1. I have liked both pages. My favourite alone time is having a lovely cup of tea, reading a book while my feet soaks in the footspa…….sigh…. thinking about it makes me feel relaxed 🙂

  2. I’ve liked both pages. My favourite time alone (which is not often!) is a good book and my own music (as opposed to Disney Junior on the tv!)

  3. Liked both!

I was never a “treat myself to massages” kind of girl. My favourite way to spend time alone was reading, with blankets and some coffee. But since getting engaged I have treated myself to a few salon visits in preparation of the big day, and I have to say, this is my new favourite way to take time out!

  4. I have liked both pages.
My favourite ‘me’ time thing to do is to run a long, hot bubble bath and soak in the tub with a book… Ahhhhh….

  5. Hi! =) I have just liked both pages.
My favourite alone time is sitting on the sand at the beach reading Paulo Coelho’s latest book in summer, or, sitting in front of the fireplace in my comfy rocking chair reading the same book in winter! =)
Besides from this, I also enjoy knitting for hours!
I know, I sound like an old lady…but I am not!

  6. Liked both pages 🙂

Me time = some chilled music, my room and some form of art to keep my hands and mind stimulated but relaxed. I can zone out and know that my time is still productively spent and that I’ve added value to myself. It’s feel good stuff and positively wonderful 🙂

  7. I have liked both pages. Whenever I get alone time I love to soak in the bath. It’s just so relaxing to be able to lie down with my ears under the water and not have two children making surfing waves and racing toy boats across my legs.

  8. Liked both pages! My favourite way to spend time alone- is to put on some relaxing music – easy listening and then soaking in a hot bubble bath surrounded by lit scented candles! …. Ahhhh bliss!:)

  9. I have liked both pages. My best time alone is going for a walk with my dog Jessie. Especially when the sun has gone down. Pottering around the nighbourhood looking at the lovely streets & houses and not thinking about much at all!

  10. I have liked both pages. My favourite “me time” pursuit is reading a good book, or sitting in the sunny garden with a cup of tea.

  11. I’ve liked both pages and would so love to win as my favourite way to spend time away from the family is to indulge in a treat exactly like this giveaway – with particular attention to my feet!!!!

  12. Hi there,

    I have liked both pages.
Something I really like to do when my little girl is asleep or when someone is looking after her is just to sit infront of the tv and relax, just watching a movie and taking sometime to calm myself! I find it very soothing.

  13. Hi, Thumbs up to both pages! My favourite alone activity is going to the movies in the middle of the day with a huge box of popcorn and watching a “soppy girlie’ movie!

  14. I have liked both pages, and my best and favorite way to relax is to have a nice relaxing hot bath, with candle light and a good book. Helps me to shut off from the world and have some “me-time”! 🙂

  15. I’ve liked the pages! My favourite way of spending me time is to find a big long beach or wild forest and just walk, march along ’til i reach that happy place in my heart! It always comes in beautiful surroundings 🙂

  16. Hi 🙂 I liked both pages a while ago, and have just tweeted about the competition from both of my twitter accounts.

I don’t often find time to just sit and relax – I am a single mom and I own two businesses (never mind that I also make time to be a doting grand daughter, daughter, sister and friend and help run a group that knits for charity – )

Time is so precious to me these days.

When I do manage to get some “me time” I make myself some Earl Grey Tea, find a little patch of sunlight on my big comfy couch, put some soothing music on (Ella/Diana Krall/Nina Simone) and put my feet up and just block out the hustle and bustle outside and just, relax! Music is food for my soul.
