I’ve been on the hunt for a perfect babyshower present for my sister – not one that is run of the mill but something that is special, sentimental and that will last… So when she mentioned she had stumbled across a print she liked I told her to stop right there and go no further. It was going to be my gift for my soon-to-be-born niece!
The gorgeous print in question is by Paula Mills from Sweet William and stocked in South Africa by Fronella Designs. There are one of a number of lovely illustrations in gorgeous watercolours and ink. The prints come as posters, framed or block mounted (and as cards!) Any one would make a very special gift!
Fronella also offers beautiful stationary bits and bobs such as washi tape, lace stamps, quirky paper clips, pretty stickers, wooden heart pegs, gift tag booklets. Basically loads of cute little goodies that make great gifts for friends or youself! Stationary pretties make my creative heart sing…. I may not be able to draw but I sure can make a kick ass washi tape card 😉
So you may be wondering where you can get your hands on all these gorgeous goodies? Well, you’re in luck. Fronella’s design delights will be available at various markets around the country over the next few weeks.

1 – 3 November – Festive Ideas at Simondium Country Lodge on the R45 between Paarl and Franshhoek.
5 – 10 November – Kamers Shop at Kamersvolgeskenke at the Webersberg wine estate. Select framed prints only.
6 – 10 November – Constantia Gift Fair at SARDA on Brommersvlei Rd, Constantia. The full Fronella range will be available!
2 – 15 December – Simply South Gift and Craft Fair at the NG Church, Corner Ladies Mile and Firgrove Rd, Bergvliet.
Permanent retail spots in Cape Town include the Kalkbay Co-op on Main Rd, Kalkbay and the Woodstock Co-op, Main Rd Woodstock.

21 – 30 November – The Unica Market at Unica School in Menlo Park.

The Owl or 100 Hearts Print
‘A 100 hearts would be too few’ would be PERFECT for my little girls room!! Second choice is ‘A tree is like a mother’s love’. These prints are all so beautifull!! Fingers crossed x

Oh how do you choose one print? So many beautiful prints. 100 heart, flying with angles and the tree.
would like the a tree is like a mothers love print for my wife, she would like it so much, could put it under the tree for her.
The 100 hearts is my favourite by far. I love the simplicity of hearts kept in a jam jar the same way we kept treasures as kids 🙂

They are all just too gorgeous! But have managed to narrow my favourites down to three from the online stores: “Dance with the Wind”, “Come with me to touch the sky” and “Love is Free” -can you tell I ADORE balloons!!
I love her “as light as a feather print” on the website, its a beautiful design… they are all amazing.
I love to draw and paint myself, I come from a long line of artists, my mother is a fine arts graduate and my grandparents have been carving and creating and oil painting since they were born.
Im a big fan and know what it takes to produce such beautiful pieces.
