Today I’ve opened up my What I… blogger interview series to one of my readers who also writes a blog. Danielle blogs over at Things Dee Loves and it’s a beautiful space filled with inspiring craft ideas, pretty things and lovely shops. Read on to find out more about her (and if you’re also keen to feature add your link in the Facebook comments below and you just might get picked!!)
I have married the kindest, smartest, funniest and handsomest man in the world. Sorry ladies.
Cats are awesome.
You can never have too much washi tape.
I will never be tanned. Hopefully this also means that I will never be wrinkled.
Tea and hugs can solve almost everything.
There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.
My mom’s macaroni cheese.
Lindor and Woolies malva pudding.
Our cats, Cookie & Kevin.
Cape Town summers.
As a scientist, I spend most of my time reading (mostly boring) journal articles. In my spare time I enjoy reading novels. I’ve recently finished all of Gillian Flynn’s books, along with The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert (all highly recommended).
At the moment what I really want is my own home. We’ve been living in a lovely rented duplex since we’ve been married, but I can’t wait to have a house to decorate and make our own. We both enjoy cooking, but our current kitchen is only big enough for one person at a time (a friend calls it our “tetris” kitchen, because you have to try to fit in it together). I also wouldn’t say no to an island holiday.
I dress pretty casually, and I spend a lot of time in jeans. I also own a lot of scarves. I love pretty things in pastel colours.
To be honest, the only thing I “need” right now is a finished PhD. But I’m sure that I could convince myself that I need a dedicated craft room. You know, for all my washi tape.
(Ed: Agreed – to pretty much everything except maybe the PhD part!)
