A few weeks back I was very excited to receive an email from Daily Dish offering for me to trial their weekly supper delivery service. Obviously this was an opportunity I wasn’t going to miss! I mean how many moms wouldn’t want to avoid the hassle of planning what to make for supper every night and then finding time to go grocery shopping?
Now someone was going to do this painful task for me and deliver everything I needed for a week of healthy meals right to my door on Monday morning and all I needed to do was follow the recipe provided for a lovely new supper for my family for 4 nights of the working week! Bring it on!
After a quick browse of the Daily Dish website I registered and then decided to select the Low Carb menu for 4 people… (other menu options include Classic or Vegetarian) And that was it. The next Monday morning the doorbell range and my box of goodies was delivered – right down to the pre-measured spices!!
What I loved about this was not only the elimination of any planning or shopping but also the exposure to trying out and new recipes. My kids were so excited each night and quickly started calling the week of Daily Dish dishes “fancy suppers”
We loved each meal on our menu – namely Portobello Mushroom burgers, Butternut topped with Bacon and Cheese, Chicken with Broccoli and Almonds and Green Curry Pork Stirfry. They were all delicious, healthy and easy to make. Even I could make them – quite a feat if you know anything about my cooking skills or lack thereof!! To find out what other meals might appear on your menu visit www.dailydish.co.za/recipes and read the feedback and dish reviews on bottom right of every recipe page.
I know when I shared my first Instagram about Daily Dish so many of my readers and friends were interested in the concept and I can honestly say it was a great experience which I would love to continue indefinitely but as someone on a fairly tight budget at the moment I won’t be able to right now (sad face) But when things change financially (aka people finally start paying me to blog!) I would totally sign up in a heart beat! Prices for a week’s subscription start from R540 per week (R68 per plate) for 2 people and delivery is included.
The wonderful news about Daily Dish is that they have also recently expanded their service offering to include not only Cape Town by Joburg and Pretoria as well!! And to celebrate Daily Dish have kindly offered to giveaway 3 Daily Dish boxes (1 box/week each to 3 people) of any menu to Becoming you readers!! How awesome. You totally want to win this one!

I do apologise for these rather poor photos – I think I was too excited to get cooking to make sure the settings on my camera were correct but be assured that the food was delicious!
