Cute Coin Necklaces from COLLECT!

COLLECT! jewellery is one of my favourite local jewellery designers and they have just launched a brand new line of cute coin necklaces inspired by the move towards owning pieces of jewellery that have a personal story: a historic keepsake to be safegaurded for future generations.

These necklaces are ‘heirloom’ style pieces with intrinsic value and longevity. All the coins sourced for the necklaces are rare and beautiful antiques from around the world and are set in sterling silver frames hanging on ‘pocket watch’ style silver chains. They exude olde worlde charm!

”… Consider the journey of coin, the tales it could tell, the
people it has seen, carrying with it a collection of precious memories
over time….the French Franc that bought an entry to the Moulin
Rouge, an Indian Rupee that perhaps Ghandi purchased spices with, the
Mexican Peseta that Frida Khalo bought roses with, or even the South
African Cent that passed through the hands of our Grandparents? How
precious to have and hold a piece of such exquisite history…”

One of the most popular is the South African Tikkie necklace! These cute little coins bear the protea and are set in silver on either a 42cm or 45cm silver chain. Larger coins are hung on 75 -90cm chains.

To enquire about pricing and coin dates contact Julie from COLLECT! (You can also submit your own coin for setting, send the coin size and chain length for a quote!)

Kathryn Rossiter

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
