Currently Coveting: Summer Fashion from Poetry

One of my very favourite shops in South Africa is Poetry. Everything from the fashion to the decor speaks to my sense of style… and the shop is such a beautiful, happy place to browse that I can never just walk past, I always have to go in!

I love their aesthetic and it seems to be getting more stylish with every season which suits me fine because that means I can be assured that anything I choose from their stores will be in fashion and fabulous!

Over the past few seasons I’ve been invited to the Poetry launches and I’ve always been quick to share what you can expect from the brand for the next season. This year is no different…

I was invited to join them on a sunny afternoon a few weeks back to get a sneak peek at their Spring/ Summer 2019 range.

I couldn’t help but snap a few photos of all the pretty things to give you a glimpse of what you can look forward to on the Poetry rails this summer…

On arrival there was time to mingle with the other media guests and get a closer look at their gorgeous home decor and accessories. This season is a veritable treasure trove of top-to-toe treasures including a gorgeous new selection of coffee table books (I’m a sucker for these!)

I was recently gifted a gorgeous tan leather wallet from Poetry and this season they have expanded their range of super soft leather pouches to include different colour ways, including yellow and bright green!

A new addition to the accessories collection is a range of Poetry-branded sunglasses. I’m a sunglasses queen and would definitely pair a pair with a gorgeous summery sun hat and a pair of statement tassel earrings!

The NEW ranges in this department just don’t stop with the arrival of Poetry cell phone covers in leather or beautiful silicon prints!

Summer fashion is romance, freedom, adventure and bliss… it’s about choosing clothes that illicit carefree days and endless fun.

This season Poetry’s summer fashion collection speaks to far-flung journeys and romantic escapes with a selection of relaxed wardrobe staples & show-stopper centrepieces (many of which I’ve already added to my wish list!)

The Poetry SS19 range features a variety of contemporary classics in vibrant hues of yellow, green and red, yet what would summer dressing be without splashes of pure white and stark navy?

There are sweeping maxi dresses, easy-wearing jumpsuits and laid-back linen suits in easy-wearing silhouettes.

Switch from the beach (yes, there’s swimwear!) to al fresco dinners or a gorgeous garden parties with this range of fashion-forward pieces that set the stage for a stylish summer…

And if you look closely you’ll see how Poetry is helping you “step” into summer with a brand-new collection of shoes that have been expanded to include various heel heights, silhouettes and styles.

Additionally, a wide variety of flat sandals are ready to take you on countless adventures in a beautifully neutral palette with subtle pops of red and pastel whispers. I’m especially tempted by the espadrille range which showcase the current canvas and jute trend so effortlessly.

Inspired by the notion of the romantic escape, the Poetry Spring/Summer 2019 range draws on shapes, smells and sounds of sun-drenched adventures.

Poetry is certainly the place to head if you’re looking for summer fashion to celebrate your carefree femininity in alluring palettes, prints and silhouettes!

Expect to find all these items (and more) in stores and online from October.

Wherever your romantic escapes may take you this season, fall in love with the freedom  that these easy fashions suggest and write the next chapter of your story…
