On a recent public holiday I joined a group of girls at the Clay Cafe in Hout Bay to use some creative juices and enjoy a morning of decorating our own “homemade” pottery while chatting and laughing around the communal table. It had been a while since I last had a morning off to just spend doing something which I enjoy without time restrictions and it was so therapeutic being creative. I definitely don’t do it often enough!
It is a great spot for all ages – while I was there for the morning a variety of families (dads included), hen parties, birthday parties and groups of kids all came to enjoy a morning of fun. There is a special on durings holidays for R85 which includes refreshments (booking essential) but you can also pay per item with a minimum payment and order tea or a biscuit to eat while you are there.
Here are a few pics I took of my time at the Clay Cafe.

For more information phone The Clay Cafe on 021 790 3318. It is open 7 days a week. I am really happy with my 2 items (they take approximately 10 days to be ready for collection.)
Note: I posted this a few months ago and then lost the post due to a server crash so apologies to those who have seen this before…
